Ministers' and Deacons' Wives

Ministers' and Deacons' Wives Responsible for the upkeep of the Sanctuary, Altar area and Items.

1. to oversee dry-cleaning of the altar cloths

2. to inspect communion closet in back of the pulpit ensuring that only communion-related items are in storage

3. to ensure that the area is neat and free of papers, napkins, bibles etc. Items to be either stored away or thrown away

4. Assist in the preparation of communion

             1. prepare the communion wine and matzoh

             2. prepare the tables to receive the communion cloths

             3. prepare the crystal bowl for hand-washing

             4. assist in directing sisters in foot-washing procedures

                          a. teach new saints how to wash feet

                          b. direct seating of adult sisters with children and or teenagers

                          c. assist little children – helping them to hold their towels correctly
